Our beloved father and grandfather, Sam, peacefully passed away on Tuesday evening at age 88 while surrounded by his family. Sam was the cherished husband of the late June (nee Canterbury) Lambert. Loving father of Sam Lambert Jr. (late Elizabeth) and Maria Melchiorre (John). Proud grandfather of Alexandra Melchiorre (fiancé Brendan Gulick) and Zachary Melchiorre (fiancée Natalie Roma).

Caring for others is all Sam knew. At the age of 14, Sam started his life-long career in the funeral business. He served thousands of Cleveland-area families over the years during their greatest time of need. Sam is also a 63-year Mason, a 32 Scottish Rite, a member of the Royal Arch and at one time an active member in Al Koran. Above all, his family was his greatest treasure.

Private viewing was held for immediate family only. A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future.
