Alfred Salzano, 85, died on March 10 following an extended illness. He resided in Medina, Ohio and Las Vegas, Nevada. He served in the U.S. Naval Air Corps and pursued Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Kent State University. He had a distinguished career in Northeast Ohio– teacher and principal in Troy, principal in Burton, West Geauga Schools, and Bedford Schools. After serving as Assistant Superintendent in Bedford, he retired to Las Vegas.
He was a devoted husband of Cathy Kranz and dear friend to her four children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, many siblings, his first wife, Doris, and his stepson, Gordon DiMarchi.
There will be a private ceremony and burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
