Ann “Nan” Alexander (nee Cameron) , age 83, passed away May 20, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Wilson. Cherished mother of Linda Kobak (Frank). Loving grandmother of James Mitchell and Christina Mitchell. Great grandmother of Katrina, Casey and the late Preston. Great great grandmother of Phoenix and Serenity. Loving sister of Carol Cameron.

Nan was devoted to her family. Her love was big, and she never held it back in good times or bad.

Nan and Wilson immigrated to America in 1964 from Scotland. They loved living in Medina and they had many friends over the years, since they made Medina their home in 1966. Nan retired from Medina Supply, after a long career in Accounting.

Nan was an athlete in her youth, and won many swimming competitions. Nan and Wilson had the kind of marriage that most people want. They were in love, and they did everything together. They both loved to dance and could be found on the dance floor on Saturday nights at the Eagles, Moose, or VFW.

Thank you for everything you did for our family, over the years. We couldn’t have asked for a better role model. You will be missed by all, and your memory will live in us all forever.

All Services Private. The family suggests memorial contributions to Seasons of Life Hospice, 9511 W. Pleasant Valley Road, Parma, OH 44130.

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep
by Mary Elizabeth Frye

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

Nana was truly a blessing. We are all going to miss her so much. She was the most wonderful person in the world to me! She always believed in me! She was my salvation and my number one support system when I was a single mom with Phoenix. I’m going to miss being able to chat to her on the phone for hours at a time sometimes about anything and everything. This woman knew my whole life and accepted me for me everytime. I will cherish your memory Nana and never let your great great grandkids forget you or Papa. I love you Nana. You rest easy and dance the nights away with Papa.
