Our youngest son, Chuck, died peacefully in his sleep. That was a gift from God. Our only wish is that we’d had more time with him. 41 years wasn’t enough.
Chuck was a good son and a good brother. We loved him with all our hearts and will miss him terribly.

This last year of Chuck’s life was the happiest we’d ever seen him. He had a good job and was making plans and saving to enable himself to have an even better life.

Chuck had so very many hobbies and passions. He could answer any movie-related question. He and his brother, Bob, enjoyed the Marvel and D.C. World movies together, and Chuck loved running to the library for graphic novels as well.

Chuck’s brother Jeff lives on the West Coast, and they stayed in touch by phone. When Jeff visited, a number one priority was, again, movies! They always made the most of their time together.

Certainly, Chuck’s biggest hobby and greatest passion was his collection of Heroclix; miniatures of some of the world’s most popular heroes. He always said his intent was to sell them for a profit, but somehow, they never seemed to leave his possession!

Chuck followed politics and kept us up-to-date with the latest. The national news interested him greatly. He kept us up-to-date on just about anything and everything.

The most fun of all was his love of Cleveland Indians baseball. We watched every game together. He was a Cleveland Cavs fan too, so if both teams played at the same time, we’d constantly switch channels back and forth.

Most importantly, every night when we retired, Chuck would say: “See ya tomorrow!” So now we’ll just have to wait to see him in Heaven.

Chuck is lovingly remembered by his father Stan, mother Laura and older brothers Bob and Jeff. A MEMORIAL MASS for Chuck will be held Friday, May 18 at 10:00 am at St. John Neumann, 16271 Pearl Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136. A short coffee and bakery reception will follow at the church.
