Christy N. Terry

Christy Nadine Terry was born to the late George and Ruby Nell Terry on March 12, 1959 in Anderson, Indiana. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

She attended Taylor Public Schools in Taylor, MI. She continued her education at Job Corps in Cleveland, OH and worked for Cleveland Public Schools until she retired. She was a beautiful spirited soul whose passions included drawing and photography. She had incredible artistic talent. One of her favorite places was Lake Erie, where she found comfort and peace in capturing nature.

She leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Ruby Nicole Terry; son, Emanuel Terry; grandson, Marcus Robinson; granddaughters, Ariel Davenport and Egypt Terry; Great-grandson, Antonio Robinson; sisters, Debbie Cox and Phyllis Terry; brothers, Maurice Cox, Bruce Terry, and Phillip Terry Sr; aunt, Doris Terry; companion, Michael Sherfield; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruby Nell Terry; sister, Sharon Lockett; and brother, Malcolm Leroy Terry.  

She had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She had the strength of spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. She embodied the best of qualities that could be seen by those close to her. She made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed. Until we meet again.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the YURCH FUNERAL HOME, 5618 Broadview Road, Parma, OH 44134, from 11:00am till 12:30pm.
