CONSTANCE “CONNIE” SOWL

January 24, 1932 – May 13, 2023

Connie Sowl (nee Benesch) age 91 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 13, 2023.  Beloved wife of 55 years to the late John Sowl.  Loving mother to daughters Jan Sheats (Don), Lauren (Frank) Lawrence and son John.  Cherished grandmother of Brandon, Geoffrey (fiancée Mary), Chris (Tiffanee), Andrea and Ryan.  Great-grandmother of Ian, Nathan, Ethan, Michael, Roman, Ava and Noah. Dearest daughter of Vera and Joseph Benesch (deceased) and sister to Ronald Benesch.  Dear friend of Barbara “Bo” Murawski.

Connie was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her home-going.  

Connie made her home in northeastern Ohio, but part of her heart belonged to the Colorado Rockies. Her adventurous spirit took her to Europe in her early adulthood.  She enjoyed a lifetime of travel and experiences throughout the U.S. with her husband and family and loved to relive the memories in detail over the years, even into her final hours.  

Connie had many interests and talents. She was an accomplished pianist and singer and she loved to share her appreciation of music.  Her grammatical skills and mastery of languages served her well as an executive secretary during her working years. 

Connie’s family will be forever grateful to her for sharing her love of the Lord, and her life passions with them.  She was selfless and generous and always took an interest in others.
