Dale G. Hudak

Dale Hudak

Dale G. Hudak, age 71 of Brunswick, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, surrounded by his immediate family.  He was born Oct. 2, 1952, to George (deceased) and Marcella Hudak.  He is survived by his mother, beloved wife of 39 years Joyce (nee O’Bannon), their two sons: Stephen and Nicholas, brother George Hudak, sisters Marla (Tim) Sentgeorge, Lynn (Greg) Kenney, and Janet (James) Caporuscio, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dale was a devoted father who always put his family above all else.  He loved golf and had an uncanny ability to recall any hole on every course he played. He enjoyed Jeopardy and weekly trivia night; you always wanted Dale on your team when the category would be related to U.S. Presidents, American History, and sports.  He had a way of making everyone he met feel special.  Dale was the life of the party and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A mass will be held in Dale’s memory at Saint Ambrose Parish on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 11 AM.

  2. Chris Gould says:

I started college at Ohio University in the fall of 1970. I was fortunate enough to live on the 3rd floor of Grosvenor Hall. I developed some very special friendships in my years there.
Dale was one of those guys. He was such an exceptional person and always fun to be around. It was an honor to call him a friend and he will be missed. Memories of Dale will live on and I’m sure there are plenty. I was also lucky enough to get together for some very special breakfasts with Dale and other Bobcat friends. There were plenty of special stories.
My condolences go out to Joyce and kids, the Hudak family, and all Dales friends. It is a sad time, but know the memories will bring smiles to a lot of faces. Rest in peace good buddy!!

  4. Diane Yettke says:

Dale and Joyce were a couple going back to the start over 40 years ago. I had the privilege of knowing this couple who were so perfect for each other. I never heard an unkind word out of Dale’s mouth and he would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. Such a funny and caring guy who will be missed by so many people. Joyce, all us girls are there for you as you continue your life’s journey until you can see Dale again. Keep all those wonderful memories you shared to help you through. My heart goes out to you and the boys.

  5. Art Gendelman says:

Last time I saw Dale was at OU reunion.
    Was like nothing had changed.
We had a great time at OU. Probably the most fun of my life.
    Memories will never be lost.
My condolences to all his friends and family.

  6. Dcn Ron Gurr says:

Hadn’t seen him since high school, but he left a lasting impression that included my only detention that we both received together. Recall his reaction to his younger brother heaving bowling balls across State Rd one Saturday morning along with his famous motto’s like, “I only wear the finest.” He was a good friend and I am sorry that our paths didn’t cross after 1970. Blessings, pal.
