Damon R DeConcini, 60, of Kipton was called home to be with his eternal father June 21, 2017 after a heroic battle against cancer.
Damon was born March 14, 1957 in Oberlin. He graduated in 1975 from Firelands High School and studied auto body at Lorain County Joint Vocational School. Damon was a family man who loved spending time with his father and son buying, repairing, and selling tractors. He retired after thirty-three years from BASF, a chemical plant in Elyria, where he took great pride in being a Union Steward. He was fiercely dedicated to providing for his children and gave immense love, guidance, and respect. Damon enjoyed fast cars, his motorcycle, being in nature, as well as collecting and shooting guns.
Survivors include two sons, Jason DeConcini of Mooresville North Carolina, Nicholas DeConcini of Kipton. A daughter, Emily DeConcini also of Kipton, two grandsons Antonio and Caleb DeConcini of Elyria. His mother, Margaret DeConcini of Wellington, two sisters, Dianne Ickes of Ashland, Dawn DeConcini of Oberlin, and his brother Drew DeConcini of Lorain. His father Richard DeConcini preceded Damon in death.
Per Damon’s request there will be no service.
