Daniel Personey
Dan Personey, aged 43, died peacefully at his home in Mayfield , Ohio surrounded by his loving family. Dan was born in South Euclld and attended Brush High School where he found his passion for golf. Dan then earned his Associate Degree in Golf Course Management at the Golf Academy of South Florida. Upon returning to Cleveland area, Dan became a Caddy Master at Mayfield Country club and then Assistant Golf Pro. Dan also used his entrepreneurial skills to open Pop’s Auburn Beverage. Dan loved the outdoors, where, despite the extreme heat or cold, he would happily go hiking for “10 miles or so,” while listening to sports radio discussing his Browns, Cavs and Guardians.
Dan was a supportive and loving son to Rose and Jim Personey. His sister, Kate Toohig will deeply miss her lifelong friend and joking buddy. Dan’s kindness and wit endeared him to coworkers and friends, but most of all to his nephews and niece, Tanner, Jesse and Kassidy. HIs loving presence at their sports and school events was always encouraging and positive. His peaceful gentle nature and respect for all mankind made everyone around him a better person . He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will greatly miss his considerate, good nature and wit.
