Danny Lee Metz, age 72, of Aurora, OH passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Danny was born December 12, 1948 in West Virginia to Henry and Odine (Nee Hayes) Metz. He is survived by his three children: Steven, Holly, and Carli, two grandchildren Michael Pituch and Miranda Pituch, and five siblings Larry (Sue) Metz, Dexter Metz, Connie (Jim) Goggin, Leonard Metz, Mary (Curt) Saks and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Danny was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a loving father and grandfather, brother, and friend. Danny never met a stranger and touched lives throughout his 26 year career as an Aurora Police Officer and working for the United States Marshals Service later in life. He loved movies and enjoyed spending time at the VFW talking with friends. He always had a joke, a wink, and a smile to share and was generous and fun to be around.
A Celebration of Danny’s life will take place Saturday, August 28 at the Solon VFW from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The Metz family. I have been trying to find and connect with you for many years and so wish I had found you before Danny passed. He sounds so lovely. A great shame we cousins didn’t meet My mother Noreen was Odines sister. Thanks to today’s technology and airplanes, the world is easier to negotiate. Please connect with me.
The entire Metz family
