David F. Kellam

David F. Kellam, 66, of Elyria, OH passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, after fighting a long, courageous health battle.  David has developed a strong relationship with God over the last several years and he knew where his eternal home would be.  He was born on November 25, 1958, at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, VA to Franklin and Marie Kellam. He is survived by his daughter Christy (Tom) Rhubart of Port Norris, NJ, grandchildren Ryan and Chelsey Rhubart, son Josh Mansfield of Savannah, GA, sister Peggy (Ben) Byrd of Wachapreague, VA, other family and many other friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin and Marie Kellam, sister Rosemarie Martyn and brother Mark Kellam. 

After high school David moved to NJ to work on the water as a commercial crabber and oysterman.  He later became a truck driver and heavy equipment operator after moving to Ohio.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and just being in a boat on the water.  At his request there will be no funeral services.  A celebration of life may be planned at a later date.
