Dean S. Kirkpatrick Sr.

Dean Shannon Kirkpatrick Sr., passed away in his sleep Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the VA Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. He will be laid to rest in Harlem Springs, Ohio as per his wish.

He was born January 23, 1939 in Freeport, Ohio, son of the late Lois and William Kirkpatrick. He had four sisters and three brothers; Grace Lowe, Dorothy Shear, Wanda Wright, June Wright, Paul Kirkpatrick, Chuck Kirkpatrick and Donald Kirkpatrick.

Dean Sr. joined the Navy at the age of 17 in September 16, 1956 where he served at US Naval Air Station in Anacostia, D.C., serving three years and eight months. He received an Honorable discharge in January 1960. Dean Sr. soon married Roseanne Proudfoot and they had five children, three girls and two boys; Vickie O’Neil, Grace Kochan, Regina Wright, Dean Kirkpatrick Jr., Laine Robert William Kirkpatrick. As time went on and things happen, as life does, Dean and Roseanna separated and went on their separate ways. Dean Sr., met and married his second wife, Glenna Smith and they had three sons; Eugene Kirkpatrick, Michael Kirkpatrick and Timothy Kirkpatrick. Then, life happened again and Dean and Glenna separated.

Dean soon started travelling working various construction jobs around the country. Later on, ended up back in Carrolton, Ohio around his family.
