E. DEXTER THEDE, 78, of Aurora passed away Friday at his home after a lengthy illness. Dexter is survived by his cherished wife, Linda (née Quiggle) of almost 55 years, 3 children, Laura Powell of Galveston TX, Brian (Linda Fox) of Larchmont NY, and Douglas (Janet) of Potomac Falls VA, six grandsons and one granddaughter. Dexter had a Bachelors and Masters Degree from the University of Michigan and was a CPA. An avid sailor and golfer, he is in the Collegiate Sailing Hall of fame in Annapolis and was a member of the Walden Golf and Tennis club for many years. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, Feb 23 at the Community Church in Aurora at 3pm with a reception afterwards at the Walden Club from 4pm – 6pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Hospice of Cleveland Clinic or the Salvation Army.
