Erika G. McCreery

Erika G. McCreery (nee Nitsche), age 91, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on October 23, 2018. She was a proud German born on October 3, 1927 in West Berlin, Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband Marine W. McCreery; and survived by her sons Frank (Carol), Ralph, and Mark (Mamie Saari); grandchildren Brian, Brett, Meghan, and Sean, and great-grandchildren, Darin, Kenyth, Tyler, Madison and Matthew Jr. Erika was fun, feisty, and witty; and a kind and compassionate person. She was a volunteer for many years at Metro Hospital, Deaconess Hospital, and Meals on Wheels. She loved reading since she was a little girl, and enjoyed playing Scrabble and Words with Friends. She will be missed by many. It was Erika’s wish to be cremated. There will be no visitation.
