Eugene A. Radnovich

Eugene

Eugene “Geno” Anthony Radnovich of Strongsville, OH age 78, peacefully passed away in the morning of Thursday July 13, 2023.  He was born on April 6, 1945, in Newark, NJ, son of the late Nicholas and Mary (nee Castellani) Radnovich.

Eugene was preceded in death by his wife and soulmate Mary Louise (nee Hoover), brothers Nicholas “Nicky” Radnovich, Jr. and Dennis Radnovich. Eugene is survived by his two daughters Tracy (nee Radnovich) Bukvic (James) of Strongsville, OH and Cassierae (nee Radnovich) Lewis (Charles) of Jones, MI, his grandsons Brandon (Kasey) Lewis, Garett Lewis, Nicholas Bukvic, great-granddaughter Emma Lewis, his brother Ronald (Virgillia) Radnovich of Naperville, IL and several cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Eugene grew up in Bremen, IN where he played football, did gymnastics and was a pole vaulter for his high school. He graduated from Bremen High School, class of 1963.  He worked as an appliance repairman for much of his adult life and was the owner/repairman for Hitech Appliance Repair Service in Luzerne, PA for over 20 years. Everyone who knew Geno felt his big heart and giving nature. He was a selfless man who would always lend a hand to anyone who called out for help.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman who was happiest in the mountains or on the lakes of Pennsylvania and Canada. He loved to tell stories of camping with his wife and family, his backpacking trips, fishing excursions and hunting with his brother, in-laws, grandsons, and nephews. He loved sitting around campfires with family and friends and embellishing stories, but we all just loved to hear him talk.

Eugene was a longtime hockey fan of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the Pittsburg Penguins.  He loved Notre Dame Football, the Cleveland Indians, the Colts and loved complaining about the Cleveland Browns. Actually, he just loved to complain (love ya dad).

He was a sensitive man who loved his family with all his heart and soul. He never missed a moment of expressing his love and pride for his family. He loved to tell corny jokes and sing. His favorite TV shows and movies usually did not involve color and were predominantly westerns or anything with John Wayne in it. He knew them well enough to recite the movie lines word for word.

Dad, you will be dearly missed by all your family and friends. You are at peace now with mom and reunited with many family members. This is not good-bye… this is until we see you again.  We love you with all our hearts.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Yurch Funeral Home, 5618 Broadview Road, Parma, OH 44134 on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:45 p.m. The family would like to gather afterwards with family and friends for a light lunch and sharing of memories. Location TBA.

The family would like to thank the staff at Avenue at Strongsville (especially Kara) and Southwest Hospice for their compassionate care during Eugene’s final days. They’d also like to thank all their family and friends for their support and prayers during this difficult time.
