Florence Rowland

Florence “Auntie” Rowland age 78 born October 1st 1941 in Murphy North Carolina, passed away on February 8th, 2020 at Holy Family Hospice in Parma Ohio due to complications from C.O.P.D. and Alzheimer’s.

Beloved sister of Lucille (Robert) Wershing, Mary (Jere) Coon and Brenda (Carl) Sneed. Aunt to Marvin King, Robert Wershing II, Amy Coon Stone, Tracy Coon Schorp, Michael Sneed and Jeffrey Sneed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Leona (nee` Weaver) Rowland, and Neal D. Rowland.

Siblings Opal King, Evelyn, Arnold, Betty Ann, and Faye Rowland. Nephews James King and Gregory Wershing.

Florence graduated from West Technical High School. She retired from Joseph & Feiss – Hugo Boss in 1995 with 28 years of service, she was proud to have received a perfect attendance award each year for all 28 years. She started a new career with Broadview Multi-Care where she worked for 18 years retiring in 2013 due to health reasons.

Florence shared a home with her sister Brenda and Family for 32 years. She was a second mother to Michael and Jeffrey Sneed, contributing much to their educations and upbringing. She enjoyed participating in their high school and college activities in the performing arts. Both have gone onto become stage performers. Flos attended many stage performances, Flos took an active part contributing countless hours making costumes and props for their performances. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to knit and crochet.

She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
