Brown Frederick

Frederick Mark Brown, Jr. was born on February 13, 1941 in Greenwood, Mississippi to the union of the late Ruby Lee Jones, and Frederick Mark Brown, Sr. One sister, Mary Yvonne, and two brothers, William and Curtis, preceded him in death.

The Brown Family relocated to Cleveland, Ohio in September, 1956 where he attended Cleveland Public Schools. .

Fred married Carol Elwell in 1967. One daughter, Yvonne Marie, was born to this union.

Fred (as he was affectionately known) was very active in Narcotics Anonymous, as a member and a sponsor. It was in the fellowship where he gained an extended family, and met his companion, Elizabeth (Cookie).

He was passionate about helping others, and always tried to give an encouraging word to those in need. He loved to play cards and spend time with his family.

Our Lord called him home on July 20, 2017 at 11:20 in the morning.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Yvonne (Larry); three grandchildren, Jasmaine Hamm, Jamiel Hamm, and Jahrie Hamm of Cleveland, Ohio; one great-grandson, Dominique Laster; one sister, Vera (Tommie) of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers, Lawrence and Don, Sr. (Beverly) of Cleveland, Ohio, and Robert, Sr. (of Los Angeles, California); his girlfriend, Elizabeth Carr (Cookie); 6 nieces, Carol Morgan-Brown, Beverly, Alisha, Whitney Arevalo, Shawnmae, and Lawren; 6 nephews, Riccardo Long, Robert Jr., Don, Jr. (Sabrina), Torriano, Carl Gillard, and Noah; a host of grand nieces, grand nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Monday, July 31, 2017 at 12 (NOON) at the YURCH FUNERAL HOME, 5618 Broadview Road, Parma 44134; were family and friends will be greeted from 11 AM till the time of the Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Cleveland Clinic Palliative Medicine.
