Gerald Peter Pizzino, Jerry, came to the end of a fulfilled life of 79 years. Born in 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Peter and Millie (Hurm) Pizzino. Jerry graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in 1960, leaving behind track records in the hurdles and long jump that remained for years. Jerry joined the United States Air Force in 1961 and served four years at Glasgow AFB, Montana. Jerry took pride in his accomplishments as an athlete; Air Force Veteran; professional manager, who led advances in the electronics industry; and college instructor at Palm Beach Atlantic University. As a consultant in his retirement years, Jerry significantly improved the performance of several small businesses, government, and nonprofit agencies.
Jerry volunteered for many years with Festa Italiana, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he made life-long friends, and also with the organization Reclaiming our Heritage. Jerry enjoyed cheering on his Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks and his grandchildren in their sports. He enjoyed attending the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia and especially enjoyed seeing the track and field events live. Jerry enjoyed family gatherings, especially with his grandchildren; visiting with friends; reading; learning about history; watching classic films; traveling and taking photos while doing so. He took great pleasure in listening to his favorite music (golden oldies over decades) and had a very impressive record collection. Most of all, Jerry enjoyed sharing life with the love of his life, Eileen.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eileen Kay (Timbers), his daughter, Maureen Fragnoli and husband, Brian of Sharon Township; his son, Vince, wife Julie (Nasper) of West Palm Beach, FL; his seven grandchildren Isabella, Eli, Joe and Luisa Fragnoli, Allie and Ethan Pizzino; his sister, Carol (Pizzino) and Bill Brown, his sister-in-law, Denise Pizzino, step sisters, Rachel and Jessica, and his many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Millie (Hurm) Pizzino; brother Dale Pizzino; his beloved uncles, Clarence “Bud” Hurm (wife Pat), Bob Hurm, and Joseph Pizzino (wife Jean). Jerry was grateful to move to Medina, Ohio, in 2018, where he and Eileen enjoy their family, friends and community.
Jerry will be laid to rest in the Western Reserve National Cemetery with Military Honors graveside ceremony in May with his wife, children and their families.

So sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. I last spoke to Jerry several years ago. Just was thinking of him and discovers his obituary. I am stunned. I have fond memories of his family since I was lucky to date his sister, Carol. He set me up with her. His family was always gracious to me. I talked with Jerry few times to catch up old school memories. He and I were fellow track athletes. So sorry for your loss. Tom McLaughlin 414-651-6213 or email me I now live in Surprise Az.
