Jackie Waters

Jackie Waters, age 95, peacefully passed away on May 29, 2021. He was born on April 21, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio and grew up with his extended family in the mountains of West Virginia. Jackie was an all-around athlete during his school years before being drafted into the United States Navy during WWII. He was honorably discharged as a decorated veteran. 

Jackie (known to the family as Fa) settled in Cleveland, Ohio and raised six children with his wife, Bernardine. Fa was a U.S. Postal Service employee, an avid bowler, fisherman, and readily offered sage advice to his children, neighbors, and friends. A devout Christian, Jackie was also an active member of East Mount Zion Baptist Church.

He is remembered by his children, grandchildren, friends, and loved ones. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to his caretakers at Forest Hills Place. A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
