Jax Johnathan Ponomanerko, age 5, born July 21, 2015, passed away March 25, 2021. He is survived by his mother, Samantha Cherni; father, Matt Ponomarenko; brother, Dominic Giampietro; grandparents, Janice and John Cherni; Karen and Vic Ponomarenko, Great Grandparents Joseph and Susan Vasil, and Carol Cherni; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will forever miss him.

Jax always loved playing on his tablet and had a song in his heart. He loved playing with his best friend and big brother Dominic. The bond they shared was like no other. One of Jax’s greatest joys was attending STEPS academy. He eagerly ran into his classroom daily ready to learn. The family would like to give a sincere thank you to his therapists Jaclyn and Molena who helped Jax find his voice, and lifted his sweet spirit through therapy, song and dance.

The family would like to welcome family and friends to a visitation/memorial that will take place on Thursday April 1, 2021 at Columbia Road Baptist Church 4116 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070 from 4-7pm.
