Lawrence K. McGinnis

Lawrence “Larry” McGinnis, 73, Parma Ohio, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on February 9, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents Zelton and Juanita, sister Emy Lou, brother Rick, grandson Zachary, niece AndreaBakker, and brother-in-law Matt Cordell. His life will forever be celebrated in the lives of his beloved wife, Connie (nee Macie), his cherished children: Mark (Angie), Kelly, Allison (Nick)Mazzino, and Eric (Lindsey), and grandchildren: Eva and Alex. As well as his loving siblings:  Joan (Tony) Kowal, Janet (Ken) Sheets, Beth (Clyde) Bakker, Becki (Randy) Zakowski, Denise Macie, Kevin Macie, Sandy Cordell, and Doug Macie. Along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Larry was a proud US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was a prayerful and creative man who enjoyed movies, spending time with his family, and various woodworking endeavors. As a man who valued and enjoyed comfort, please feel free to join the family in honoring his memory by wearing sweatpants at the visitation to be held Friday, February 17, 2023 from 4-7pm at Holowchak Funeral Home (5548 State Rd, Parma, OH 44134).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Family Hospice or Larry’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in his name.
