Lea Anne Schweisthal (aka Loni), age 64, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019. Service to be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, July 20, 2019, St. John Bosco Church, 6480 Pearl Rd., Parma Heights, OH 44130. A private burial will be held at a later date.
She was the daughter of the late Carl & Martha Schweisthal (nee Charlins). Cherished sister of Marty Brickman (Rich), Carl (Elaine), Tina Marks (Doug), Terri Carter (Chuck), Mike (Renee) and Anita Szpotowicz (Tad). Greatly loved Aunt of sixteen and Great Aunt of twenty-nine.
Loni loved animals and owned many throughout her lifetime. She is survived by her cat, Raven and her dog, Allie.
For over forty years, she was an employee of Medical Mutual of Ohio. A few of her hobbies were traveling with her friends and amateur photography. Her favorite season was the Fall; therefore, she spent a lot of time in the Cleveland Metro Parks just cruising down the road enjoying the scenery or walking her dog. She loved camping, tinsel on the Christmas tree, the Wizard of Oz, playing music loudly and singing around the house. She had a great sense of humor and could make you laugh until you cried. She was a very casual person who was forever in blue jeans and has even requested everyone to wear blue jeans to her funeral mass.
She’s remembered for being extremely generous whether you needed a helping hand or needed a little extra cash. She always put others before herself even as ill as she was these past ten months. Loni was a very strong minded independent person. She faced her disease, Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension for fourteen years and ten months with great courage. Most PAH patients only live an average of eight years. Her family was very fortunate to have had her that long. She was going to defy the odds and she did. She fought right up to the very end because her family was her greatest love and she ours.
