Lillian Muhlbach passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in her home in Chagrin Falls, Ohio from congestive heart failure. She was 85 years young. A memorial service will be held at Bayside Community Church, East Sarasota Campus, 8200 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida, 34241, on July 1, 2017 at 3:30 pm.
Mrs. Muhlbach was born Wednesday, December 2, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her life spanned the Great Depression, World War II, the Korean War, the Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War, the dawning of the Space Age, and the Sexual Revolution. She was a strong woman who always spoke her mind. Against the backdrop of changing cultural mores, she stressed the importance of moral purity. She believed that Jesus Christ was the way to heaven. She was an extremely hard worker with high standards. She placed a high priority on the company and companionship of family.
And in her family life she was surely blessed. She is survived by two sisters: Mary Truppa and Christine Medico; five children: Helene Kim Kaczorowski (Doug), Peter Muhlbach (Mary), Lisa Misiewicz (Theodore), Yvonne Steiner (Roland), and Lily Stopher (Kenneth); nineteen grandchildren: Stephanie (Jason), Scott (In-ok), Anne, Joe (Jenny), Jonathan (Cara), Peter Joseph (Emily), Suzanne, David, Jennifer, Christine (Matt), Michael (Sarah), Liliana (Kyle), Joshua (Samantha), Gregory (Jessica), Jesse (Stephanie), Catrina, Courtney, Caleb, and Samuel; and fifteen great-grandchildren: Nathan, Amelia, Katana, Ryan, Brody, Ella, Harper, Ember, Giada, Jacob, Olivia, Emma, Arden, Anastasia, and Riley. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Muhlbach, her sisters Rosalie George and Emilinda Mecurio (survived by Joseph Mecurio), as well as grandchildren including Hannah Misiewicz and Seth Stopher. Those family members with her in the Lord now enjoy her presence. For those of us here, she is missed.
