Marian I. Urvay

Marian I. Urvay, age 71 of Garfield Heights, OH passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born November 5, 1950 in Czechoslovakia (Slovakia) to Imrich Urvay and Anna Talajka. He is survived by his two children: Melania (Aaron) and Jonathan, four grandchildren: Carmella, Alaina, Johnny and Ashton, and one brother, Frank, and nieces, nephews and friends. Marian was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Milan.

Marian was a devoted father, Papa and friend. He enjoyed all sports tremendously, especially soccer. His favorite times were watching his grandchildren at all sporting events. He expressed great pride also in the academic successes of his grandchildren. He was extremely proud of them. Marian worked as a mechanical engineer at MK Ferguson and retired from Heinen’s. A Memorial and Celebration of Marian’s life will take place at St. Monica Church on Rockside Road. in Garfield Heights on Friday, April 1, 2022. A gathering will start at 9am at the Church with Mass at 10am. A ceremony will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Section 33, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, after the Mass.In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions  can be made to one’s charity of choice in Marian’s name.
