Michael J. Dietz

Michael J. Dietz, age 74 of Willoughby, OH transcended to Heaven on Thursday, February 17, 2022.  He was born January 9, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio to Nicholas James and MaryAnn (nee Zurga).  He is survived by his brothers, Nicholas (Edith) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Charles (Rose) of Fort Myers, FL; nieces and nephew, Jennifer, Nicholas, Jessica (Jeffrey) Latine, Kimberly (Henry) Jiang, and Jennie; several great nieces and nephews, and beloved friends.  Michael was proceeded in death by his parents.

He enjoyed spending time at Willowick Lounge and Kristy’s Tavern where he made many life-long friends.

Michael proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a Paratrooper for the US Army.  He received two Purple Hearts for injuries sustained during his time of service.

Michael will be laid to rest at a future date at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
