Mira Bruns, age 81, died in her home in Cleveland on October 14, 2021. She was born in Gold Road, AZ to Joaquin and Elena Herrera and grew up in the southwest, spending most of her childhood in New Mexico. She moved to CA in her early twenties and that’s where she met and married Roger Bruns. They and their three children moved to Roger’s childhood home in WI before settling in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She spent most of her time helping in their store and volunteering with the kids activities. After Roger’s retirement, they moved to Palmetto, FL and stayed there until Roger’s health declined. That led them to Ohio to be near family. After Roger’s passing, Mira continued to live with their daughter, Tamara. Mira would have said that some one of the most important moments of her life were the birth of her children and her decision to give her life to Jesus.
Mira loved gardening, cooking shows, and being with her family. She is survived by her children, Tanya (Zach) Durant, Jason Bruns, and Tamara Bruns; grandchildren Abby, Isaiah, Samantha, Evy, Josy, Landon, Elly, Ruth, and Nolan. She is also survived by four siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger and grandson Zeke.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place at Grace Church CMA in Middleburg Heights on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow. https://youtu.be/kpnwqxnZ_bs

I am extremely sorry for your loss and just need to say that Mira and my hours together were fairly few, but quite memorable no matter where we were and thinking back on them always makes me smile. The family trip to Tennessee was great all around, but a little side trip to the Biltmore Estate with Mira, Roger, Tamara and myself was one of the most enjoyable days of my life. Mira and Roger will each always have a place in my heart, forever be loved and missed, and I am incredibly grateful for the time we had together.
Thank you so much for your kind words. She asked about you and liked to check in to say hi when she knew I was talking to you. She only ever had nice things to say about you. I believe that day was also one of all of our favorite days. I will look back on the picture of us together fondly for the rest of my life.
