Richard E. Elliott “Dick” 80 of Boardman, was residing with family in the Cleveland Area when he lost his battle with cancer and passed away on Wednesday May 11, 2022. He was born on July 7, 1941 to Paul L. Elliott and Florence (Caiger) Elliott in Ashtabula, Ohio and grew up in that area. He was a 1959 graduate of Ashtabula HS. Dick held jobs with the railroad and Kroger Stores before working for Union Carbide Linde Division and it’s successor Praxair for over 38 years. He worked at several Ohio locations and finished as the Superintendent of Maintenance for the Youngstown Service Center and coordinated Customer Operations for the Central Region until his retirement in 2008. Dick’s main love was his wife Josie and his family and enjoyed visiting and spending time with them in Ohio and vacationing in various locations around the country. He enjoyed his hobbies of model railroading, golfing, also cooking and gardening. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of nearly 62 years, Josephine (Salem) Elliott whom he married on June 21, 1960, his daughters, Justine (Robert) McCaulley of Brunswick Hills, Ohio, Rochelle (Richard) Lavery of Parma, Ohio, and son Richard (Kelly) of Painesville, Ohio. his brother Bill of Ashtabula, Ohio. his grandchildren Justin (Kaitlin) McCaulley, Lindsey (James) Turner, Richard Lavery Jr., Richard Elliott III, Elissa Elliott, Kristin (Chris) Heston and great grandchildren Margaret, Josie, Harrison and Elliott. Dick was preceded in death by his parents. Following his wishes, no funeral services will be observed. Private burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ashtabula.
