Richard P. Raifsnider

Richard P. Raifsnider, age 82, died peacefully July 21, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Youngest son of the late Harold Stafford and Ruth Elizabeth (nee Moore) Raifsnider, he is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Carol E. Raifsnider (nee Becker). Preceded in death by brother John Raifsnider, and sisters Katie Naugle,  Mary May and Jane Dolby, and many nieces and nephews.  Born in Wabash, Indiana, Richard was raised in San Diego, California, where he attended San Diego State College. He enlisted in the US Air Force Reserves and served as a medical specialist for 6 years. In the 1960’s, he joined the Army Corps of Engineers. He later brokered and operated Welcome Realty and Realty World in Oregon, Washington and California. He moved to the Cleveland area in 1990 where he owned and operated All Professional Painters & Decorators Inc.  In his later years, he utilized his many skills and training and devoted his life to helping the needy. Private internment Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland. In lieu of flowers, donations requested be made in his memory to Hospice Services of Southwest Hospital, Strongsville, OH.
