Richard Smetanko
Richard “Rick” Smetanko age 73 of Cleveland, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 25th, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Ahsiu (nee Wang); their children, John and Shu-Fen; grandchildren Becky, Sarah, and Josh; brothers Bob and John; sister Janie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Rick was a graduate of West Tech class of 1969, proud Air Force veteran, and lifelong muscle car enthusiast. He will be missed.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Cleveland Baptist Church in Thompson Chapel (4431 Tiedeman Road, Brooklyn OH). Lunch will be served afterwards in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Rick, You were a great friend, I started knowing you in Taiwan, we played softball and bowling. You were with me when I got married, we were shooting fireworks off in the cab. When we got out of the Air Force we lived on the same street. I will miss you my friend
