We are extremely saddened and heartbroken to announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Hullum of Cleveland Ohio. He died at the age of 79 on December 30, 2022. Robert was born on October 26, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Nathaniel and Sally Hullum (née Traywick).
Robert grew up in a close-knit family of brothers and sisters, who always looked out and protected each other. Robert was the glue that held the family together. He protected the ones he loved and always looked out for them. He was a people-person and he loved to talk; making friends everywhere he went. He would talk to anyone, at any time, anywhere. He was a collector of coins and always picked up a penny if he saw one. He was a traveler and enjoyed seeing new things, taking as many pictures as he could. He always had a project in the works around the house and managed to plan a use for even the most invaluable thing. Robert loved his faithful and loyal dogs, Missy and Lulu, with Lulu remaining his sidekick on people-watching ventures until his last day. Most of all he loved his family. He loved spending time with them; talking, joking or giving advice. He was the life of family functions and instilled in his children and grandchildren the importance of being there for one another in times of need.
Robert leaves behind his long-time companion Diangela, his beloved daughters Tanya and Tara, and son Tracy. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren; Justin, Dominque, Shaquille, Raven, Jordan, Kobe, Jailin, Demetrius, and Aiden; great-grandchildren; Serenity, Zavier, Shaquille Jr., Isaiah, and Ezra; his brothers Lavon, Larry and Eddie; his sisters Murlee, Sylvia, and Elaine; and his countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Richard, Nathaniel Jr, and TJ, and his sisters Earline and Barbara Jean.
A Celebration of Life for Robert B. Hullum will take place on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Yurch Funeral Home, 5618 Broadview Road, Parma, Ohio 44134.
