To Tom’s Family
I wish to express my condolences to you. As you know Tom was a great teacher, coach, competitor but more than that he was a great person. When Tom coached at North Olmsted and I coached at Bay I don’t think we really got along because he wanted to beat my teams and I wanted to beat his teams. Tom won the battle of our “grudge” matches over the years. We were probably one of the very few wrestling programs that had “Standing room Only” crowds when our teams met. After we both retired from coaching Tom and I became friends and re-hashed our coaching days some times over a beer.
