Vincent Michael “Mike” Naticchioni, 60, retired roofer from Local 44, passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2016. Born on November 8, 1955 in Jacksonville, FL, he was raised by his mother, Michaele “Mickey” Naticchioni.
In 1972, Mike entered into the Army where he served for 6 years. Anyone who knew Mike knew that this was one of his greatest accomplishments, only second to raising four daughters. A true fighter, tough and stubborn, even in passing. A proud man, made only prouder when he had the opportunity to ramble on about his girls. His love for his daughters and grandchildren was insurmountable and nothing brought him greater joy than the prospect of meeting his great-granddaughters.
Self-proclaimed “short, fat, and going bald” for at least the past twenty years, Mike had the best sense of humor. His laugh was indescribable yet contagious. Master of the dad joke (and the dad bod), he’d tell you all about the baby in his big ol’ belly that’d been there for years and had no intention of leaving. Never one for pop culture or technology, but he’d tell you “Don’t be hatin’!,” which he’d picked up from younger co-workers and ended every text with a slew of emojis.
Mike was the quintessential Clevelander. He loved to spend time at Lake Erie, whether he was fishing or just hanging out. He lived for Saturdays at the West Side Market and cheering on the Buckeyes along with every Cleveland sports team. Sunday mornings were his favorite; he’d wake up his family singing Frank Sinatra and cooking breakfast, followed by mass. He also enjoyed board games, grilling, and hanging out with his best friend, Dave.
A forever ladies’ man, Mike is survived by four daughters, Nicole (Scott) Brant, Mindy Naticchioni, Ashley Naticchioni, and Kayla Naticchioni, grandchildren Tyee Brant, Cheyenne Brant, and Annabella Naticchioni, his great-granddaughter Violet Lindner, and his soon to be great-granddaughter, Iris Brant. He is also survived by his cousins, John, Gary, and Nichelle Montoney.
Mike will receive military funeral honors on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 1:30pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273. Family and friends are invited to join.
