Wayne T. Shelton, age 76 of Medina, OH, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 with Laurel by his side.  Wayne, affectionately known as Tim, Fuzzy, or Hillbilly, grew up in Richlands, VA in a small coal mining town.  Wayne was a welder for East Ohio Gas Co. for 30 years.  Wayne’s love of wildlife transferred over to the various organizations and clubs he belonged to and volunteered for-National Wild Turkey Federation, South Cuyahoga Sportsmen Association, and Medina Farmer Sportsmen League.  He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Laurel; his daughter Denise (Ali); grandsons Alex (Alessandra), Mikael (Brooke), Jared, and Max.  Please joins us in celebrating his life “Wayne Style” Friday, June 30, 2023, from 4-8pm at Williams on the Lake, Lakeside East (C Building), 787 Lafayette Rd, Medina. 

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the National Park Foundation, https://www.nationalparks.org/, or visit and enjoy one of our beautiful National Parks in memory of Wayne.

    Laurie,
    Wayne there are no words that can express the way we feel about you.
    It’s painful to say goodbye but we were blessed with great stories, good times and many years of great memories.
    You were always there to talk about anything especially the outdoors, shooting, hunting or just life in general.
    Wayne you were a great guy and a true friend. You were one of my best friends and you will be greatly missed.

    I credit Wayne for one of the big reasons I am so blessed to enjoy the outdoors in Ohio. I will miss his calls and text during hunting season just to see how everything is going. Thoughts and prayers to your family. Wayne will be missed.

    There are no words to fill the void Wayne has left us. He was loved by everyone he met due to his big heart and contagious love for life. Wayne had the magic touch of making everyone he met feel at home. I will miss our laughs and stories. Wayne, I hope to see you again someday.     Wayne was an amazing Grandpa and teacher to all of his grandsons. Papa taught us how to be a man and how to have a big heart to everyone around you. He will be missed and remembered at all family gatherings and future hunting trips.
