William L. Amos, age 71 passed away on October 24, 2016. He was a native
of Cleveland, Ohio. Son of the late William and Mary (nee Boscarello);
father of Robert Amos-O’callaghan and William L. Amos; dear brother of
Marlene (Jerry) Stevens, Hermine (Norman) Naugle, Anthony Amos and Mary (Edward)
O’Brien; uncle and cousin to many, good neighbor and friend. Bill was a
left-hander living in a right-handed world. He proudly served in the US
Air Force. As a civilian, he worked in the early era of computer technology
travelling and living extensively in Greenland, Canton Island, and
Australia. His interests and talents included home-remodeling, sailing,
scuba diving, bowling, golfing, and darts. He also loved politics,
patriotism and the Browns. Bill handled his disease and dying with
inspirational dignity, bravery, and humor. The family wishes to express
heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary staff at Crossroads Hospice and the
Cleveland VA Medical Center. A Funeral Mass will be held November 22, 2016
at 11 AM at St Patrick Church, 4427 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland 44145.
Light refreshments to follow. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National
Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Oh 44270, on November 23, 2016 at
